A weekend of Crochet

Well, I didn't get to cut up my op shop finds as I was sick with a cold and all I felt like doing was lying about on the couch. I did get some crocheting done though :)

I made this doily from a vintage pattern found here

and this collar based on this vintage pattern

It would look super pretty with all of the pearls, but I decided to leave it as is and threaded some black ribbon through - I love cream and black together.

A Productive Weekend and a New Skinny Necktie

Inspired by the tie on the cover of this month's GQ magazine

and by one of my mother's old crochet pattern books, I created this skinny necktie on the weekend

This is the unfinished version (hence the string of wool still attached!), but I did get it finished and I love it!

I also got my list of things completed! I took some new photos, I went op shopping and felt very productive :)

Here are a few of the things I bought - I can't wait for this weekend to cut them up and start creating.
